Reche Caldwell of the NFL San Diego Chargers suffered a torn ACL.
This week the NFL team, the San Diego Chargers, determined that leading wide receiver, Reche Caldwell, has a torn ligament in his right knee and will miss the rest of the season. Caldwell was hurt in the October 17 one point loss at Atlanta and is expected to have surgery next week to repair his torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Caldwell made a spectacular one-handed grab as part of a 58 yard touchdown catch in a win against the Tennessee Titans earlier this year and said: “I was very disappointed because I’m playing well this year. Unfortunately, it happened. I’m looking forward to playing next year.” Caldwell has been San Diego’s leading receiver this year with 18 catches for 310 yards, 17.2 yards per catch average, and three touchdowns.
